DuPont to showcase Liveo™ single-use biopharma processing solutions for fluid transport at BioProcess International Europe

Presence at event to focus on DuPont™ Liveo™ Healthcare Solutions that can help accelerate the validation process for adopting single-use systems in biopharmaceutical processing.

WILMINGTON, Del., MAY 2, 2023 – DuPont (NYSE:DD) today announced that it will showcase DuPont^™ Liveo^™ single-use biopharma processing solutions for critical fluid transport applications at BioProcess International Europe, which will take place May 9 to 12 at RAI Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

“Single-use systems have clear advantages for the development, processing and production of life-saving pharmaceuticals,” said Liveo^™ Healthcare Regional Marketing Leader for EMEA, Michele Vigliotti. “However, in the drive to bring crucial new therapies to market, the need for solutions that can safely speed up the validation process for the adoption of these systems is increasingly important.”

At BioProcess International Europe Booth 15, DuPont will highlight Liveo^™ brand biopharma processing solutions, including Liveo^™ Pharma TPE Tubing and Liveo^™ Pharma Molded Assemblies. These materials are designed for critical fluid transport applications and to help meet demanding regulatory requirements and improve process efficiency with single-use solutions for end-to-end purity, reliability and security.

•  Liveo^™ Pharma TPE Tubing is a sterilizable, weldable/sealable alternative for many biopharma applications, including fluid, media and solvent transport; single-use assemblies; peristaltic pump applications; aseptic connection and disconnection without connectors (e.g., sampling); and applications where compatibility with industry benchmark TPE tubing is needed. It offers improved heat-welding and high tensile strength and burst resistance before and after welding.
• Liveo^™ Pharma Molded Assemblies are custom-molded silicone assemblies designed for ultrapure transfer applications in biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The tubing assemblies are made from Liveo^™ BioMedical Grade Elastomer and customized to meet specific design requirements for fluid transfer applications that require integrated premium-quality silicone tubing, molded silicone connections and customer-specified components.

Additionally, DuPont Healthcare Technical Service and Development Manager Stéphane Cornelis will showcase DuPont’s newly introduced thermoweldable Liveo^™ Pharma TPE Tubing during the Emerging Technologies – New Product Launches section from13:30 to 14:00 CEST May 10 in the BPI Theatre.

Cornelis’ presentation – “DuPont^™ Liveo^™ Pharma TPE Tubing: A new industry standard?” – will discuss the advantages of new Liveo^™ Pharma TPE Tubing over existing thermoplastic elastomer tubing, including its improved welding compatibility, purity profile, chemical resistance and sterilization stability, which make it an excellent choice for applications such as monoclonal antibodies, gene therapies and insulin.
