Our story
DuPont PBS: Teaming up for tomorrow
By combining Dow Building Solutions with DuPont Building Envelope Solutions, we combined decades of industry leadership and innovation. In the 1940s, Dow researchers introduced STYROFOAM™ to market, changing how buildings are insulated. In the 1960s, DuPont invented Tyvek®, creating the building wrap category. It adds up to a product and services portfolio stocked with the latest science-based building materials, to better help our customers thrive in a fast-changing world.
