Cover all the angles for efficiency
Heat. Cold. Condensation. Enemies of building efficiency come at you from all sides. It pays to have a plan to fight back, and DuPont has put together a systematic approach for staying a step ahead.
Combining the strengths of our high-performance water barrier, air sealing, and thermal protection products, DuPont provides a total-package approach to commercial building envelopes. With our portfolio of building materials, you can take create comprehensive solutions that stand their ground in all kinds of conditions.
DuPont building scientists have worked out all the details for delivering high-performing building envelopes. Our Commercial Wall “Power of Two” system defines the products and the installation processes that, when used together, can qualify for a 10-year product and labor warranty.
A solution for either CMU or steel stud frames, our Wrap OVER ci approach applies Tyvek® CommercialWrap® or CommercialWrap® over Styrofoam™ Brand XPS or Thermax™ Brand Rigid Insulation. As a combination, you get a rugged air and water barrier made for commercial job sites along with the proven energy efficiency of continuous insulation.
With a layer of exterior gypsum between insulation and wrap, the Inverted Wall assembly is designed for steel stud frames. On one side is the thermal efficiency and durability of Styrofoam™ Brand XPS or Thermax™ Brand Rigid Insulation. On the other side you’re protected by the high-tear strength and UV resistance of Tyvek® CommercialWrap® or Tyvek® Fluid Applied WB+™.
We’ve flipped the script, layering the thermal properties of Styrofoam™ Brand XPS or Thermax™ Brand Rigid Insulation outside the building wrap. This approach starts by fastening exterior gypsum sheathing to the steel stud frame, then installing Tyvek® CommercialWrap® or CommercialWrap® D. Assembly is complete using Rodenhouse Grip-Deck® TubeSeal™ Fasteners to secure continuous insulation.
By using Tyvek® Fluid Applied WB+™ with continuous insulation, you’ll get the added benefits of a weather barrier made for heavy commercial construction. With Silyl-terminated polyether (STPE) technology, the Fluid Applied system providing advanced air and water holdout and vapor permeability. Similar to Wrap UNDER ci, assembly requires Rodenhouse Grip-Deck® TubeSeal™ Fasteners.
Engineering to make it easier
Simplifying energy efficiency
Efficiency doesn’t have to be a puzzle. The DuPont™ Thermax™ Wall System comes with all the pieces, including the muscle of Thermax™ brand insulation, the advanced weatherization technology of DuPont™ LiquidArmor™ Flashing and Sealant, and the optional added protection of DuPont-approved spray foam.
It’s the answer for preserving valuable R-values in your walls while accelerating your project. You’ll eliminate time-consuming installation steps, such as exterior gypsum sheathing and applied air/vapor barrier membranes.

Complicated installations and weather delays can put builders in a bind when it comes to meeting construction schedules. The Ultra Wall System is designed to streamline the process, so you can stay on pace.
For brick and block walls, you get Great Stuff Pro™ Gaps & Cracks Insulating Foam Sealant and Styrofoam™ Brand Cavitymate™ Ultra Insulation, including pre-cut board that fits snugly between brick ties. For steel stud walls, Styrofoam™ Brand Ultra SL Insulation features ship lapped edges, with board joints sealed up tight using LiquidArmor™ Flashing and Sealant. In either case, you get the convenience of keeping the project in the hands of your mason.

When it comes to protecting building envelopes, strength in numbers is a sound strategy. By pairing the thermal capabilities of DuPont™ Styrofoam™ or Thermax™ brand insulation with DuPont™ Tyvek® air and water barriers, the Commercial Wall² (wall Power of Two) system reinforces the performance of your project.
Using approved steps for wrap-over-foam, inverted wall assembly, or foam-over-WRB installation methods, you can also meet the standards for the Commercial Wall² (wall squared) 10-Year product and labor warranty for air and water holdout.
Freeze-thaw cycles pose serious threats to the durability of a roof. Installing insulation on top of a waterproofing membrane – or protected membrane roofing (PMR) – helps maintain a steady temperature in the roof membrane.
Also known as an inverted roof, the benefits of the PMR assembly are anchored by the moisture resistance of Styrofoam™ Brand XPS Insulation. The result is long-term R-value for the structure, protection for the roof against weathering and ultraviolet deterioration, and durability during surface traffic.
